So I know it has been awhile since I have posted. Don't blame Mom, the computer was broken and we have been preparing for Baby Bradley's arrival. As with everything in our lives, there is a great story for his birth.
Baby Bradley was scheduled to arrive via C-Section on Friday, March 18th at noon. On our last weekend before the big day Mom was making all of our tidy up the house. She called it nesting, but poor Dad wanted to watch a Bama basketball game, and Mom would not let him. She was like we only have a few more hours to focus on the house! Dad, knowing better, went along with Mom.
Then Saturday afternoon, Mom started having tightness in her tummy, she thought it might be contractions. But knew it could be a false alarm too. We went to dinner at Sonnys BBQ and afterwards Mom called the doctor and told them what was happening. They told us to come to the hospital just to get checked out. So we headed home, got our suitcase and headed for the hospital at 9:30pm.
They checked mom out and although she wasn't dilated, she was having contractions every 3 minutes. We were stuck in this small triage room for like 2 hours. Dad took me for a walk to the lobby to see the fish and make some phone calls. After the 2 hours she was slightly dilated and so they admitted us into a room and gave mom morphine for the pain. I finally fell asleep after midnight and Dad trucked back out to the car for our belongings. The nurse said that the doc would check us out in the morning and send us home unless things progressed.
The next morning Dr. Merchatel came to check on Mom a little after 10am. When they lowered her bed her water broke everywhere. The doctor said "that makes it easy, you will have the baby within the hour." Then Mom and Dad went into over drive. I am too little to be in the Operating Room and Nana wasn't scheduled to arrive until Thursday night. He called Mimi, but she had to work and couldn't come watch me. So Mom and Dad decided that Dad and I would watch from the observation room and Mom would go into the OR alone. They had already brought scrubs for Dad and since he wasn't going to use them, I dressed up as Dr. Hock. Here I am scrubbing in.

I am consulting with the patient. She looks very brave!

Once in the OR things went smoothly. Baby Bradley came out at 11:55am. He was 10 lbs and 7 oz and 21 inches long. What a BIG BOY.

This is me and Dad watching Mom and Bradley!

They took his footprints.

In the recovery room I finally got to see Bradley up close.

Nana arrived that night on the first available flight.

This is Mom's favorite picture of the day!

I like to watch Bradley and give him kisses. He is touching my face.

Mom and Dad staid at the hospital with Bradley and Nana and I went home to check on Bacchus and sleep. The next day we came back and I brought my toys to show Bradley.

I showed him Toy Story and Cars.

He is so big!

Dad rocking Bradley and listening to music.

Dr. Wurst came to check on Bradley. He called him a MONSTER because of his size. But overall he looks healthy.

Today we get to go home together. I wore my Lion towel to the hospital and let Bradley try it on. It is too big for him!
This is us dressing him to go home. He wore my old Blue PJ set that says Baby Boy. It also has an Elephant on it.
We are all ready and I am showing him by Chick car from Cars
Leaving Celebration Hospital Mom let me ride on her lap too and eat some crackers. I love being the cowderly lion.
Finally home at last!
